How Compression Sprayers Work
How Compression Sprayers Work
|
- Pump is unscrewed and removed and tank is filled by pouring liquid though opening on top of sprayer.
- The pump is replaced. When screwed down it seals tank. Plunger is operated up and down to pressurize tank.
- Air is forced out of the pump, past the check valve and into tank. Check valve then closes to prevent liquid from entering pump.
- As air is forced into tank it compresses at top pushing down on liquid.
- When control valve is opened, liquid is forced out of tank, through supply tube and into hose.
- Liquid continues through hose to spray control valve.
- Spray control valve turns flow on and off.
- Liquid flows through wand when control valve is in "ON" position.
- Nozzle dispenses liquid. A cone pattern nozzle is adjustable from a mist to long range stream. Fan pattern nozzle has a fixed pattern.
