Plunger cup dry or damaged. |
Lubricate plunger cup with petroleum jelly or replace. |
| Spray solution backs up into pump cylinder. |
Check valve (mono valve) is prevented from sealing by dirt, residue
or damage. |
Remove pump and clean bottom of cylinder and check valve. Replace
if damaged. |
| Hose leaks at connection to tank. |
Loose connection or o-ring damaged. |
Tighten cap nut. If not loose, remove and replace o-ring. |
| Sprayer won't shut off or leaks at on/off valve. |
With metal shutoff valve, dirty valve or damaged o-ring. With
plastic valve, dirty or damaged. |
With metal shutoff, remove spray wand; clean and replace o-rings if
necessary. With plastic shutoff, clean or replace as necessary. |
| Bad spray pattern or low spray volume. |
Nozzle clogged with dirt or damaged. |
Remove nozzle and clean with broom straw or replace. |
| Leaks or looses air at tank opening (where pump goes.) |
Pump cylinder not sealed tightly or damaged cylinder gasket. |
Clean tank surface, gasket, and between gasket and pump. Replace
gasket if necessary. |
| No spray through discharge line. |
Supply tube disconnected from hose or Clogged
supply tube, hose or on/off valve, or damaged supply tube. |
Remove hose from tank and make sure supply tube is connected. Flush
out tube, hose and on/off valve with garden hose. Replace any damaged part. |
